Strange dream

I had a strange sort of half dream last night.

I dreamed I was in my normal bed in my normal bedroom, but there was some
sort of crowd of people around me. Exactly who they were or what they were
doing there was not clear.
What was clear was there were a bunch of fey there that were not happy.
Why? Don’t know.
But, they wanted to keep the humans from leaving and there was an argument
over it.

I normally sleep on my side with my arm under my pillow sticking out above
me. And, in the dream I was in that position in our bed.
The fey took some handcuffs and handcuffed me to the reading light on our
nightstand.
In the dream it was larger than the very small one we really have. But,
still just a desk light. I was able to stand up and walk around with it
hanging off my arm.

“What is this supposed to do,” I said, waving it at them.
“The others may now leave as you are chained here in their place,” the
leader of the fey said.
“Am I supposed to fight some sort of duel with you while chained to a lamp?”
“The chain will not matter,” he said.

I woke up and found my arm was sticking up in the air near the lamp. But,
there was no chain on it and a bookcase where the fey had been standing.
Still having a bit of my cold, I started to cough and couldn’t stop.
So, I got up and made tea.
Eventually I went back to bed.

As I lay back down I thought about how the duel was supposed to work.
“A lamp is not a very good weapon,” I said to myself. “I wonder what else
I’d be able to use to fight?”
As I asked the question, the pillows piled up against the wall fell over on
my head.

I’m not 100% sure as part of it I was asleep and part of it awake.
But, it seems like the fey might have challenged me to a pillow fight…
