Practice and food
Sep. 14th, 2014 10:09 pmToday we ate lunch at the little snack shack near where we have practice.

They are only open for the summer and this was the last day they were open. As it was a perfect day, it seemed like a good idea.

Jose needed a ride to practice today, so we picked him up at church and brought him with us.

The snack shack makes "clam cakes" that I really like. It is deep fried dough with clam bits in it. Probably horrible for you, but good to eat.

My wife likes the ones with apple instead of clam.

Then, off across the dam to practice.

The car continues to make good progress, now having gained a top.

In very good news,
The bad news is we found that our plan to maybe rent a trailer to bring stuff won’t work as the trailer mounting parts have rusted off of the bottom of my wife’s car.
Sad.

We spent most of practice working on teaching her and Jose the Liancour we’ve been working on Thursday nights:

Jose seemed particularly fond of the "Spanish" technique mentioned in the book where you try and whack someone on the top of the head with your sword.

But, that doesn’t mean it always works.

He did seem to think he needed to take off his shoes for it. And apparently he was wearing Halloween socks.

There was also the question of this technique getting close to dancing…

We headed home noting that the trees are not yet showing much fall color, but it is coming soon.

We dropped Jose off in his part of Worcester and then headed off to get the car washed before going to dinner.

We had dinner at

The scollops they gave us for dinner were great, as is the company any time we visit them.
But, there is only so much fur we can take, so we headed home.
Still, it was a nice dinner!
