Sausage fest
Jun. 7th, 2014 10:42 pmSo, some friends of theirs offered to host it and that worked out great.
There were many different types of sausage. The venison was voted by everyone to be the best.

The hosts had a very nice tree house.

My wife even went up in, despite her fear of heights.

I didn’t as I wasn’t sure of the main supports.

My wife was recruited to go on spider patrol.

I had a very good time, but did "relax" a lot too.

I’m told I relaxed enough to snore…
We did get home at a reasonable time.

It was a good time. The company and food were both good and we had a really good time!

So, they aren't the kind you could find in a normal market.

Date: 2014-06-19 01:51 am (UTC)I've had ones with sun-dried tomatoes, ones with chipotle and lime, and several others, and several others. They do tend to be lean, so par-cooking (if they are sold raw), then just a quick sear is the way to go.
I tend to make sure that any sausages to be grilled are par-cooked; that way, no one needs to worry about whether they're 100% done.
