Aer Lingus has WIFI on the transatlantic flights, even out over the ocean. Or, they say they do. We'll see how that works our. It is very futuristic to me to do this...

Anyhow Friday in Caerleon...
Across the street from the amphitheater we had been was the Roman barracks.

There isn't too much of them left as only the foundations are there.

But, you can still clearly see where things went and the sizes of the rooms.
Not big and crowded.

There wasn't all that much to see, But, it was still cool.

Then, over to the museum in the vain hope it was not full of school kids.
It was, but they were well behaved and it was still nice. It was a small museum, but a good bit of stuff, and a garden.

There were even benches.

That was it for our Roman time. It was time to get back to the future and do modern castles from the 1000's.

That looks like a great museum! I'll be interested to hear how the transatlantic wifi works.

IT was great until we weren't over the Atlantic anymore. We crossed into Canada and it died for half an hour.
It did come back, but it still annoyed me.

Huh! That's still cool though, even with the drop-out over Canada.

Hmm, I guess it's true then:

Blame Canada!

It's not free. You have to pay for it.
But, I was willing to in order to get some more photos done.
I ran out of steam after two posts. It is more difficult on the iPad where I can't do them in batches like at home.

Ah okay ... that's probably why I never bothered as I've only ever been on not even 2 hour flights to Dublin with them!

They didn't offer it on the Cardiff to Dublin flight. Only on the big planes going across the ocean.

Wow those look like some very narrow doorways and halls. did the museum mention if those artifacts were found on the site or brought in from different areas?

They were found in the general area, but not necessarily inside the borders of the town. But, all from the southern Wales area.
