Lex, is that you?

With all the folks looking for that missing plane, I’ve been using Google
Earth to look at that section of the world more often than normal.
And, poking around the southern Indian ocean I find what could be the
perfect super villain base.
It’s more than 2000 miles from the nearest inhabited land. It’s 1000 miles
away from Antarctica.
Doesn’t have an airfield, and can only be reached by boat.
Despite the lack of an airfield, they have a radar system very similar to
the early warning radar used to detect ICBMs. Of course, on paper they
added the word “super” before the description, so I can only assume it is
actually better than the radar used to defend this country.
The information I can find out about it on line says the base on the island
is used for “biological research” and “high energy physics experiments”.
I guess they have a breed of sheep there that is “very rare” on the
mainland.
(I suspect these could be the carnivorous tourist eating sheep my wife and
I encountered in Ireland back in 1996…)
Looking over the map of the island the “experimental area” is still more
than a mile away from the living quarters. Makes me wonder just what sort
of bio/energy experiments they’re doing…
Of course the proof it is a super villain’s base is that in the center of
the living quarters is a restaurant that is rated 4 ½ stars. It wouldn’t
be a super villain lair if it didn’t have a good restaurant.
