Practice photos
Mar. 24th, 2014 08:32 pmIt was a cold spring day, only just above freezing. Most of the snow is gone, but some remains.

Once it was up to the head of the plastic deer.

We’ve equipped the fake rapiers and backswords with fancy tips to make them safer. Pencil erasers work just fine. So, we used pencils for the fake daggers to make a set.

We had someone we hadn’t seen since October show up for practice. Nice to see them again. Hope the do some jobs.

Jose called 1/3 hour after practice started to say he’d be late. Then took 20 minutes to show up. Then another 10 to get his son in the stroller.

But, he did come in costume with his own sticks.

We did a lot of practice with sticks.

Maybe he hadn’t been there in months, but he seemed happy.

After practice we went over to
We did stop at home to get the cake my wife made and be annoyed at the bad parking of neighbors.

Dinner was great. But, we got home late and took shows due to animal fur. So, I decided to post this today. But, it’s posted. Yay!
And, yay for the good dinner too!

Date: 2014-03-25 12:41 am (UTC)But, we're at least a month away from green time. It usually happens at the end of April or start of May. There will be a week when all the leaves come out at once.
The grass will stay green until the summer when it dries out and turns brown. We got a lot of rain last year so that didn't happen. But, it's pretty common.
