Thursday morning sunrise was nice.

But, there were random snow showers all day.

By the time my wife reached Virginia it had stopped.

Our rental car in NJ.

Traffic stopped on 95 for as many minutes as the highway number.

Dawn at a South Carolina rest area.

Passing the Peachoid.

It was nice to be in the sun and warm.

Lost on the back roads of Alabama.

The Gossage Building, destroyer of tents!

Sunshine on the pavement of the faire.

A short path to Sonny’s Barbecue. Does it have gators?

My wife gets help with her costume.

I like how Ravena caught the bending of the swords when they meet!

Using the new swords!

This style does some big lunges.

Historical fighting often leaves people tripped up.

Fighting with my wife.

She’s got crabs!

I’m not sure I like this photo of me and the crab.

My wife and I team up to get Palusbuteo some fruit.

New guy is lunch.

How did they get here?

Having soft ground is not a bad thing.

I also got fruit. But, I still think the hat is cool.

The king and queen were very impressed.

Her favorite sin is…

Fire!

Her tongue was on fire, even if only the heat shadow showed up.

This fire showed up.

I don’t normally use the fire sticks. Maybe that’s why I have that expression on my face.

My wife looks very happy with her fire.

She has fans.

You really have to be careful how you hold the sword when it is pointed down.

More fighting with my wife.

Dinner at Sonny’s.

The staff goes to great lengths for group shots.

Day 2 sword fighting.

HE DOES LIVE!

A great shot of the death of a coconut.

No more coconuts will die if my weapon is gone!

My wife on fire!

Blue_micha on fire!

My wife does seem to like those meteors.

Last performance of the faire!

Moonset over Pensacola.

Later, I would think this was where I lost the camera.

Crabs, they got them!

Happy Blue_Micha day!

My wife was happy to get her bucket of rum. Really.

Evrgreen, here is your photo of the crab waitress!

Drink enough buckets of rum and you start wearing them.

Or, hanging from sharks.

Walking on the beach along the Gulf of Mexico.

Ready to head home.

Going through Atlanta it turned sepia. Maybe we did it in the 50’s?

The sun was shining in South Carolina.

But, clouds waited up ahead.

This looks like my car, but with goose scarring ads on it.

We ate dinner in the shadow of the Peachoid.

My bad photo of ice on the road.

It was not clear just how many people went off the road on the ice.

Middle of the night in Maryland.

Dawn in New Jersey.

Crossing the mountains in New York state.

Across the Hudson river!

Proof I did not do all the driving!

YAY!

Salt covered car.

Going to the car wash!

Clean again!

Lunch at O’Connors!

Date: 2014-03-06 12:40 am (UTC)You all look so fabulous in your costumes. And I know I've said it before, but I'm going to have to say it again - you're tent looks so fabulous - it really does.
How do they clear the train tracks of snow? Do they have a special thing that clears the tracks after a big storm or do the trains stop running until the snow melts?
I love how happy everyone looks - you all look like you love what you do :) it really shows. It must make for some wonderful performances for the audience.

Date: 2014-03-06 12:54 am (UTC)I'm sure my wife is happy about the tent feedback. She wanted a tent like that for 10 years before we got one.
They do have special plows to clear the snow off the tracks. And, they can add sand to tracks to increase the grip too.

Date: 2014-03-06 03:28 pm (UTC)Great pictures and I'm glad to see that you all had a good trip with nice weather (at least while at the faire) for a change!!
Even with a smaller group than you wanted to have for the job, it looks like everyone had a broad set of skills and abilities and you still provided alot of variety in the show and plenty of entertainment!
Were those Sand People at the faire? WTF?!? Maybe they'll have Klingons there next year - once that starts, they can be like cockroaches..
