This weekend has been very big on seeing friends and eating good food. But, not things of which I would take photos.

Friday was [livejournal.com profile] yebo’s birthday, so we met him and [livejournal.com profile] zosh at a Tappas place in Worcester.

The food is quite good. But, we faced “the paella problem”.
You get 12 of the different dishes, which you can pick which ones you want off an extensive list.
Then, after you’re full, they bring you this huge bowl of paella.
But, [livejournal.com profile] zosh picked at paella that she could reheat later, and will have lunches for a while.

Saturday we met [livejournal.com profile] perrin_o_ravnos for lunch and went up to O’Connor’s in Worcester. We’ve been going there since they opened in the 80’s and it is one of our favorite places.

We had a very nice visit with him and, of course, a good lunch.

In the evening we went over to [livejournal.com profile] cissa & [livejournal.com profile] cosmicirony's house for dinner.
They made a wonderful fish dish. I guess they get some much fish from their fishing cooperative place that they have trouble keeping up with eating it all.
My wife and I both like fish quite a bit and were very happy to help them with this problem. Especially when it was cooked so well.

[livejournal.com profile] cosmicirony is thinking of taking a weekend class on making bronze swords.
This seems tremendously cool to me and I am very tempted to try and get in on that too.
The class is not that expensive and includes room and board for the weekend.
The only problem it is in Wales. You know, the place on the other side of the ocean from where I live.
Getting there would cost twice as much as the class itself.
But, it is still very tempting. We should be getting our tax refund before then and it would be a very cool thing to do.
I’m going to have to think about that one.

That weekend class on making bronze swords sounds way cool!!! Bummer though it's that far away from you.

That was smart to pick a paella she could reheat.

I've never been there. Been to Ireland twice, but not England, Wales or Scotland.
I'd like to see them all...

DUDE! I think you should do the class in Wales. That is the kind of stuff that hits right up your alley hard.

I told him to put our names in.
It will probably be $2k each when all is said and done.
But, it does sound way cool!
