This week had some impressive sunrises.




Tuesday we had another snow storm.


The problem was it was so cold that my windshield wiper fluid froze inside my car. So, I couldn’t clean my windows.
There was a bottle of Pepsi my wife left in the car that was still liquid.
So, I tried opening the window and reaching out to pour that on the windshield as I drove down the highway.

Yeah, it froze the instant it hit the glass and didn’t clean much.

The storm was fairly big, but the good news is the pollen rates are very low.

This is why I like the winter even with the snow. My allergies are the lowest this time of year and I like that a lot!

Wednesday there wasn’t that much snow at my home or work.


There was some on the roof of the building, but I think that gives it atmosphere.


Friday it was actually sunny. I was getting worried about my window cactus as there has been so little sun.


Down in the lab I knocked over a rack of test tubes. When picking it up I knocked over another. Getting those two, I kicked over three more.

My engineering tech came up to me later and said: “What I like about you is you picked them all up yourself.”
“Who else should do it?” I asked. “I knocked them over, it’s up to me to pick them up.”
“You’d be surprised how few think that,” he said and walked off.

Also Friday my new hat arrived.
I wasn’t really wearing the rest of the costume I expect to go with it.

The sunrises are great to watch from inside a heated building.
If I were out in the -15C air, I might not like them so much...
