Monday I had a coop student start with me at work. When we took him to lunch for his first day I got one of those drinks where they have the flavor pellets in them.

The moon was looking very Space 1999 this week.

Last week was a good amount below freezing. This week was a good bit above freezing and all the snow melted.

The turkeys near my work don’t seem to like the rain much. At least when it rains they move around more and flap a lot more.

They did seem to get into some sort of turkey challenge with feathers puffed up and all.

I couldn’t tell if there were two groups fighting or just everyone fighting.

Two of the males seemed to get along well with each other.

Later in the week it was actually sunny.

Thursday I got ready to have folks over Friday for the Star Was miniature game.

[Bad username or site: “perrin_o_ravnos” @ livejournal.com], Mike and Snoozewadler came over for it.

We spit into two teams with 8 ships each.

Snoozewadler and I did not do well. We lost all 8 of our ships and only took out one of theirs.

But, we still had a lot of fun.

Today we were back to snow.

My wife went shopping for costume stuff with [Bad username or site: “blue_micha” @ livejournal.com], and then we all went to lunch.

The city of Worcester looks nicer in the snow.

But, it was back across the lake to Shrewsbury for us.

Not wanting to drive more in the snow, we not only ate at the restaurant, but ordered two meals to go for tonight and lunch tomorrow.

It can be fun. We spend more time crashing ships into each other (not on purpose) than we should.
It is one of those games where you buy the base game and then have to buy extra ships. The miniatures are really cool. But, it takes a long time to set up and play.

These are the folks who make it:
