Baby shower fire show

It was a nice fall morning when we set off to do a fire show at the baby shower of two of our troupe members.


We went to pick up Jose, but found he had moved. So, he wasn’t at the place we expected. Driving to his new place we went past the Centrum and found a circus there.
So, if we had known where he lived, we wouldn’t have had the chance to see the elephants.


But, we did get on the road.


And, we got there more or less the right time.


The impending mother seemed to enjoy having a party.


The impending father also seemed to be having fun.


There was lots of food.


But, we spent most of our time sitting in the shade.


Not everyone seemed that excited to be there.


But, we did do the fire show. The impending mother did the fueling for the tricks for us.







Jose tried the S fans for the first time at a show.

He only dropped them a little bit.


The impending father and I did the fire sword fight.


Then, we headed back home.

You guys are good and all your practicing is very evident in your shows, but unfortunately the fire show is much less dramatic in bright sunlight.

I wonder how did the people at the baby shower respond when they learned there was to be a fire show - where they surprised?

There was a lot of "please don't set my trees on fire!"

When B and I first met, I took her to the Shrine Circus. The opening act was a tiger performance, climaxed with jumps through a flaming hoop. We spent the rest of the show randomly catcalling LIGHT IT ON FIRE and giggling like jackasses.

This post made me think of that. Guess I had to explain why...
