As of our anniversary party last Saturday, Phoenix Swords has done 276
shows.

I keep all sorts of statistics on the shows and who does them, etc.

One of the things I always pay attention to is how many shows people do.
No one does them all. In busier years we sometimes had two shows going in
different states, so it just wasn’t physically possible to do them all.

But, of the 79 folks who have does shows with us over the last 11 years,
only 7 have done more than 100 of those shows:

And, the last person of those seven has stopped performing with us after
her second child.

[livejournal.com profile] perrin_o_ravnos, in third place for total shows behind me and
my wife, has told me that this is not a fair way to look at it.
Folks who were with us back when we were doing 30-40 shows a year got to do
a lot more shows than the folks now when we are doing 10-15 shows a year.

So, I looked at it as the percentage of shows a person could do. This
basically means the number of shows since they joined the group.
And, if you do everyone who has performed with us in the last year, you get:

He’s right, that’s probably is a better way of looking at it in terms of
how involved people are.
But, there is still a lot of experience from people who have done hundreds
of shows.

Both ways make sense. It is nice to see who has been there the most, but those who have been there as much as they can seems like just as important a stat to track.
