Twenty years!

fbhjrToday it is 20 years since my wife and I got married!
It really doesn’t seem that long to me. It doesn’t seem like yesterday either. But, not 40% of my life ago.
I remember a lot of it very clearly.
And, there are some folks who were there we still see fairly often.
Others we don’t get to see often but still do our best to keep in touch.
There are some folks, like my sister, that I haven’t seen since and wish they have stayed in touch.
And, folks like my wife’s old coworkers who I’m glad we don’t see any more.
This is quite probably the last photo of my grandmother taken before she died two months later. I’m sure she would be totally horrified if she knew a photo of her in a balloon hat is how I remember her. I’m OK with that as we never got along. I think of that as a bonus wedding present.
I won’t say it’s been all happiness and light. These last 20 years contain both my highest highs and my lowest lows.
But, I am very glad I married my wife and she is still with me!
