Well, I know what it was tonight

Tonight I know what woke me up.
About 12:30 I felt something on my arm. I looked up and by the light of the clock radio I could see a spider on my arm.

Clock radios don’t give off that much light, so it was a big spider. With legs about 1”/2cm across.
On my arm.

I pulled my arm away so fast it fell off, and then I squished it with a tissue.

It is almost certainly a wolf spider. It looked like one. It acted like one. It’s the right time of year to be one. I saw one in the guest bathroom yesterday and decided to leave it alone.
I know they don’t have venom that hurts humans.

But, it’s got me awake...
