I had been thinking that my stuffed head in NJ this weekend was my being allergic to something in the hotel room. It did smell strange.

But, last night I found I was still very stuffed up when I lay down at home in the airstream of my air filter. So, not allergies, I've got some kind of cold or something similar.
Sad.

But, I went to bed at 9 anyhow so would get lots of sleep, right?

When I got home from work last night, I noticed a sign on the apartment foyer door saying "tomorrow we're going to check on your CO2 alarms for no particular reason."
The apartment complex does that, so I didn't pay much attention to it.

At about 1:30 this morning, something woke me up. But, I couldn't tell what. (It is not hard to wake me so there is a very long list of what will do it.)
About a minute later, I heard a beep. Just one beep.
I looked at my iPad. It was off. The alarm clock wasn't set to go off for 4 1/2 more hours, Nothing in our bathroom beeps.
But, about once a minute there was that beep again.

I went out into the living room, and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. But, the beep was louder.

Finally, I looked at the CO2 sensor. Once a minute it was beeping.

I took it off the wall and looked at it. The back said "if it beeps once a minute it has a problem. Look in your manual to see what to do."
I don't have the manual.
I changed the batteries and put it back on the wall.
Beep. Once a minute.
So, I took the batteries out and left a note for the maintenance men saying "it knew you were coming and acted up".

So, no so much sleep for me as I would have liked.
Maybe tonight...

That sucks. We've had that beep/minute problem once or twice, but replacing the batteries worked. Unfortunately yours is not the case.
(it's always at 1fucking30 in the morning, isn't it?!)

Thankfully it wasn't the actual alarm going off to tell you of a dangerous level of Co2, as I'm sure evacuating your apt. would have been much more
detrimental to your ability to get some sleep. :(

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Smelly hotel room? Why did you not change! (I totally would have!)

Silly CO2 sensors...

I hope you feel better and get some rest!

It wasn't a horrid smell, just kinda.... off. Like a weird floral-ish. My theory was ant spray as we appeared to have quite a few checking out our possessions, but as there are a lot of ants on the site, it could have been us bringing them back to the room.
