A day at the faire
Jun. 15th, 2013 09:26 pmThe day was bright and sunny.

We got to the fair site early to get things ready. My wife,

Because it had rained for most of the last week, the ground was very wet. In fact, calling it ground is probably not right. The mud was very damp.
But, all the rain does make it look nice and green.

The faire is not a huge one, but it is a nice site. This is the same place that we held our own faire 2 years ago, and are having our anniversary party in November.

My wife’s costume was not what she usually wears and it took some assistance to get her into it.

But, we all got to the morning staff meeting on time.

Between then and when the faire opened, I did the best to dry my socks.

Just before the faire opened the singing group Merry Mischief came by and sang us a few tunes.
It was a great way to start the show!

We were having enough fun that the faire organizer came by to see if there was a show he hadn’t scheduled.

Our kids acts went OK.

I’m pretty sure I’m safe in saying we had the most number of people on stage in sheep hats at the faire.

Our sword acts went well too. I seem to have missed photos of those.
Merry Mischief came by for some more songs later. The jousters road by and no one paid attention.
I like this faire...

Our last act of the day was more kids shows.

They went well enough.

At the end of the day we had to carry the swords up the long hill.

But, then it was going home for a shower and pizza.
One of the other things I like about this faire, less than an hour after it closed, I was in my shower at home.
That’s a nice close show.
