Lego B-Wing
May. 31st, 2013 11:47 pmTonight folks came over to build out latest Lego, the B-Wing fighter from Star Wars.
It is about 1400 pieces, which is a lot, but nothing compared to the Falcon we did.
I was a bit worried that the instruction book was in 3 volumes, but they were fairly small.

We had a new Lego kit, a bunch of friends and a pile of pizza. Good times.

We again did the instruction book, instructions on the computer and more on the iPad.

As with other kits, you build subs and put them together.

Putting them together can be a bit tricky.

But, after only 3 or so hours, we were putting together the stand.

Pretty cool when together.

It’s a cool kit. We had a good time. But, it certainly wasn’t the 17 hours it took us for the Millennium Falcon.

Date: 2013-06-01 10:40 am (UTC)not nearly as many greblies as the Falcon, but still a creative use of otherwise intended parts for details and pieces
like hot rod engine intake scoops and semi tractor vertical exhaust pipes, and I noticed the complicated wiring and hoses
on the primary weapons pod
I was also impressed by all of the deck-plating to give it a smoother look compared to the lego studded panels.
although not as stable/solidly supported as the MF kit, although a fraction of the weight too.
Thanks for letting me come along and build again, fun times!
