Mr. Hunt

We received approval from Commerce yesterday for the original estimate in the amount of $3590.54. The parts have arrived and we began work on the repairs this morning. We estimate the repairs will take approximately 2 weeks.

If you have any further questions regarding the repairs, please do not hesitate to call the shop.

Thank you and enjoy your weekend!

2 Weeks? The photos made it look like a fender bender. Did it crunch an axil?

I drove it home Sunday. And to work and back Monday.
It seemed OK to me...

Well at least they are paying to fix it. Your other post sounded like they were backing out. 2 weeks sucks.

They've got the money AND the parts and it's still going to take two weeks?!?!?

You've got 2 doors, rear fender, possibly front fender and trim pieces that will end up coming off, and possibly some inside fender bits needing straightening. They'll then have to prime, sand, color coat, sand, clearcoat, buff all the painted bits color matched to the rest of the car's paint, which has faded from the original color. Once you get into painting multiple body panels, the days add up because you have to allow for the stuff to thoroughly dry and cure in between. They might get it done in 10 days if all goes perfectly well, but usually need to build in some buffer if it doesn't.

Does insurance pick up any of that?

Two WEEKS? Holy shit, the damage didn't look THAT BAD.

I agree. But, that's what I was told.

My car was in the shop for close to a month after the collision with the truck last year. Good luck (and I'm glad you're ok).
