One year of my Prius
Mar. 23rd, 2013 08:32 pmTomorrow it will be one year since I got my little aqua Prius.

In that year, I’ve driven 16,642 miles with an average miles per gallon of 48.592. Based on my old Saturn’s MPG of 26, that has saved me $1,087.78.
I remember taking the Saturn in to trade it a year ago. We saw more Saturns on the road for that 18 mile road than I had seen for the previous year. It was like the flocked to the old one to say goodbye.
But, either way, I left it for the Prius.
If you look at the milage chart you can see a clear pattern.

The bit on the right is when I tried buying gas every day as it seems to run better with a full tank. It did make a difference, but I don’t want to stop for gas every day.
The pattern is that the fuel economy is strongly tied with temperature.

When it’s cold the MPG is low, when it’s hot it is high.
Maybe it is more clear on a per month chart?

Anyhow, a year of owning it and I am still very happy with it.

Ugh...Confused.
Well, glad you enjoy the Prius and that it's doing so well, even with winter weather, comparably.
