This morning we packed up the car to go see [livejournal.com profile] ravena_kade. There was some question of the print my wife bought for her fitting in the car after [livejournal.com profile] blue_micha joined us.
But, the painting did fit in the back, so it all worked out.

So, with painting packed, we headed off to Quincy. I use to hang around there back in the 70’s and very early 80’s, but it’s been a while. So, we circled the place we were meeting once before we actually found it.
But we did find it.
[livejournal.com profile] ravena_kade & [livejournal.com profile] brickhousewench joined us there for lunch.

After lunch we went back to [livejournal.com profile] ravena_kade’s place. Sadly, people in her family smoke and I am fairly allergic to smoke. So, I visited as long as I could, then went off and walked the beach near her house.

It is a very nice beach.

And, it is very close to her house. You should be able to see my little green car up the road.

The tide was fairly low. As always, I liked looking in the pools left behind.

I don’t associate oak trees with the ocean, but that doesn’t stop their leaves from washing up on shore.

The birds did not seem happy I was there. But, they didn’t seem happy about the cold wind either.

I always look at the things I find on the beach and wonder about their story.

Did the Harlem Globetrotters play a game on a ship at sea and lose a ball overboard?
Who knows?

Was this board part of a ship lost in a terrible battle at sea?

Was this from the hull of a pirate ship?

Are these part of a door way on a ship? Smashed open to find treasure and then discarded to the ocean? And, what of the mysterious footprints walking past them? Oh wait, those are my foot prints. Never mind.

After I had some fresh air, I went back for more visiting.

I saw this one gull that was the only bird that looked happy all day.

I did like the end table that [livejournal.com profile] ravena_kade has:

I’d like to get a 25 minute one for timing our acts...

After a while, it got to me again, so back to the beach. (Not the movie of that name.)

This time I spent more time looking at the tracks of other things that had explored the beach as well.

Clearly some sort of dinosaur:

I suspect a wolf:

A very fast snake chased by some people and a wolf:

It would be nice to live so close to the sea that you could go there all the time.

We also did some patio inspection:

And, there was a zombie scarecrow too!

The zombie scare crow chased us from the shore and we went off to a Panara Bread and sat and relaxed for more of a nice visit.

All in all, a good trip and I had a good time.

I love your photo blogging =D And I need to rescue my zombie as he is ceramic and will crack once we get into the low winter temps.
