Dream time

I keep track of the dreams I remember and when they occur.
And, I find that each year I have more dreams in October than any other
time of the year.
I had more in this one month that in the 5 months leading up to it this
year.

I attribute it to the change of the seasons making it still quite dark when
I get up in the morning for the first time in those months of little
dreaming.

My Irish grandmother (the grandmother I didn’t like) used to tell me that
souls and spirits were walking about this time of year. She also told me
that it was the frost full moon that determined it not the date on the
calendar. I give very little credence to anything she said. But, she did
come from a town where they still raise up a goat each year. (The fair was around her birthday and I remember her bringing
my brother a small stuffed goat from the 1970 fair…)

Whatever reason, October is a month for dreaming. And, for me, it ended
Monday morning just before the full moon when I dreamed of rescuing folks from
hell...
