#28) What you look for in a friend
The simple answer is honesty.
But, I don’t mean someone who never lies. I’m not convinced of the evil of white lies.
I mean be honest in intent and action. Do the things you say you will. Say the things that are important to you. Be honest with what you want and how you want to get it. I’m not saying I will necessarily help you. But, you should at least tell me.
And, for heaven’s sake, if I make a mistake, am doing something wrong, or headed in a wrong direction: TELL ME!
I might not agree. I might argue that what I’m doing is right. I might not change.
But, at least give me the chance to decide with more information.
And, that’s pretty much it. I don’t expect people, friends or not, to agree with me on everything. I’d find it pretty boring if they did. I’d much rather have folks around that can tell me new things, ideas, opinions and such. That’s much more interesting.
