Strange dream

A friend of a friend in college used to have big dinner parties. It’s been 20 or more years since I’ve been to one, but last night I dreamed I went to one again.
This one had a costume theme. Everyone was supposed to come with their face covered in some sort of Star Wars mask/costume that kept people from knowing who you were. It didn’t have to be a full costume, only the face.
The dinner was being held in a beach area somewhere where there were palm trees. Although I really had no interest in attending but I had some sort of job where I was an investigator. There was something in that city I needed to investigate, and this was a legitimate reason for me to be there with my face covered, so I wouldn’t be recognized.
I decided to go in my Darth Vader helmet. I flew down there, rented a car, and drove to where the dinner was.
The dinner turned out to be entirely jello. The different courses were shaped like different things with jello of different firmness used as needed.
I took some yellow “chicken” and found it impossible to eat while wearing a Darth Vader mask.
Other people also wearing masks, stormtroupers and imperial guard, were having similar problems.
I used it as an excuse to leave and go on my investigation. I got in the rental car and drove off to do it.

I don't know if I would be happy or sad to discover that there was no jello wrestling involved in this one..
