Tut, tut

I was sitting at my desk this morning and saw some interesting clouds out
my window.


I thought, “Looks like it might rain.  I’ll check the weather radar.”


Yep.  Rain.

Soon afterwards it started to rain really hard.  Lightning is flashing and
thunder shaking the building.
And, I again discover how hard it is to photograph rain.

Sadly for my department, most of them come in at 7:30, which is just when
the really bad rain started.  Makes me glad I come in at 7.

I hope it ends by tonight or it will be one soggy harbor cruise…

All of these summer storms make me wish I had an office with a window. Alas, I'm a mole in a basement office. However, I do have access to a 2nd floor office with good views. I need to utilize it more often. I tried to today but by the time I got up there, the storm was off in the distance and the rumbles of thunder pretty much gone. Boo.
