Yesterday started off quite foggy.

But, it burnt off and got sunny. I found that not only are there bees outside my office window, there are now also butterflies.

After work we went over to [livejournal.com profile] yebo & [livejournal.com profile] zosh’s place for the monthly game night.
This month we got there on time and I got our stuff on the grill first. It was warm enough for the windows to be open, so I could still visit with folks.

The first game we played was my new Godzilla game.

The rules were not really as clear as I would like, and it took some effort to figure out. But, we did and it was fun. If they had made the rules an example of bad dubbing it might have been a funny link to the old movies. But, they were just poorly laid out and unclear.

As it was only 4 player, other folks played some sort of plague game.

Next we played “Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Skullzfyre”, a game that Mike brought.

It is a magic card game where you assemble spells from different cards.

You are supposed to speak your spell like the wizard casting it. Some folks, like [livejournal.com profile] cosmicirony, got quite into that.

The only problem is that the winning conditions are had to achieve with 7 people playing. It went on and on and on and on. It was fun, but too long.
My wife got tired of waiting for us to finish and borrowed the couch.

While all this was going on, the main road into Worcester (route 9) was going through major night time construction.

So, while we were playing Godzilla, or battle wizards, there was a lot of rumbling, beeping and grinding.
It is rare we get such a level of sound effects with our games...
