fbhjr: (Hat of doom!)

We didn’t do a whole lot during the day yesterday.
My wife makes very good turkey sandwiches, and we had plenty of ingredients, so we didn’t have much incentive to leave the house.
I did have to go to the store and buy bread for the sandwiches, but other than that, we stayed in.
(I did get quite the story at Price Chopper about the bread they make and how the bread man there has gone rouge to make bread not on the official list!)

In the evening we did go over to [livejournal.com profile] cissa & [livejournal.com profile] cosmicirony’s place for a Thanksgiving replay.
The food was, no surprise with [livejournal.com profile] cissa cooking, very good.

I had been playing with their dog and the dog’s squeak toy. The dog thought to circle around through the living room and sneak up on me from behind. So, when she came around the edge, I jumped out at her, and scared the poor little dog.
I felt very bad about this as I like dogs quite a bit and don’t mean to scare them. I was raised by a German Shepherd that caught and brought home a VW bug once and got my family a free post office box as no one would come to the house. So, I’m not used to being able to scare dogs. I need to be more careful about that.

Today we were only a little more active. We did set out in the early afternoon.

I was sad to see a foundation has been built on the corner where the nice old house used to be.

It is getting harder and harder to maintain my optimism that the town may be using the property for a park. Why would a park need a foundation?
I’m afraid it will be the town’s third Dunkin Donuts.
Hopefully it will be some sort of structure needed in a small park. Like, a ranger station.

For lunch we went to the home of the drunken octopus.

I had some very nice schnitzel.

Then, it was off to pick up our comic books and go to the book store.
Then, more of back home.

All in all, not a bad couple of days.

Please, do NOT feel badly about scaring Snikki! She really does have a brain the size of a pea, and I'm sure she's completely forgotten about it by now. And I have NO idea what she thought was going on last night! I mean, I've done the same thing and she's found it entertaining!

She's certainly been enjoying eviscerating the squeaky toy, and finally killed the squeaker, to her delight (even though earlier she was getting great joy out of carrying it around and squeaking it constantly).

There's reasons why we call them the Idiot Beasts. :)
