The corner of route 9 and Lake street near where I live used to have an old house and a lot of trees on it. This fall, they’ve knocked it all down.

I keep saying to my wife “maybe they will make it into a park”, but as more and more construction equipment shows up, it is harder and harder to hope for that.

At work the other day I looked up and saw a giant X in the sky.

If X marks the spot, I’m left wondering what is on the spot to be marked.

A double X was about to form when I got called away to do some actual work. Sad.

On the way home the other day I saw a car where on the dashboard there was a GPS, a smart phone and and iPad.

That’s a lot of electronics to be looking at while driving. And, it is outright illegal to be looking at your iPad while driving in MA.
But, he seemed to be driving OK.

Coming home from my haircut yesterday I saw a very nice view of where we live.

We live on the left where the road goes over the hill in the distance.

For lunch, we went to one of our favorite places. It seems they are so full these days they have to start storing the barrels on the roof.

On the way home we went up around the reservoir, which is a very nice drive.

That took us up through Clinton (a town not named for the president) where we used to have sword practice.

We went past the Museum of Russian Icons, but did not go in this time.

We did stop at a nice farm stand with a small lake behind it.
My wife said those are not alligators swimming in it.

My wife bought a bunch of apples and used them to make a very nice pie.
You can tell it is extra nice, because it has a smiley face in it.

This morning we had a very tricky attempted squirrel break in.
There was a squirrel that was handing upside down just outside our balcony. I went to look at it to see why it was stay there so long.

As I did, I heard the sound of claws on metal. I looked out our kitchen window and saw a squirrel headed down the drain pipe for our window that was slightly open.
It looked at me, made a very unhappy squirrel noise and ran back up the pipe before I could get my camera on to take its picture.
But, it looks like one squirrel was trying to distract me while the other made a grab at our food.
