I’ve been using Apple products for a long time.
In college, my roommate had an Apple II that he let me use for writing most
of my papers.
In 85 I bought a Mac and used it to write my report for the competency exam
I needed to pass to get my engineering degree. The professors on my review
board said it was the first “all computer” submission they had ever seen.
I doubt it was the last. I know it was not my last Mac. We’ve got three
working ones at home and a few older ones still sitting around.
My wife and I both had Newtons in the 90’s.
I’ve had and iPod since the second generation of them.
I got us both iPads when they came out.
I’ve never had an iPhone.
I’ve been using Spring since before they came out. And, until yesterday,
they were not available on Spring.
Cool or not, I wasn’t willing to change cellphone companies to get one.
Starting Friday I can order one for Sprint.
And, I’m not sure if I should.
They’re cool and all. But, I’ve got the iPad.
There are times that even the iPad is a lot to carry, and an iPhone is
smaller.
It’s got a camera, but I carry my camera anyhow.
It would cost more per month, but maybe I wouldn’t need the AT&T data for
the iPad any more. (Of course I am one of the very few to keep the
unlimited data with them, as I was grandfathered since I got it in the 3
weeks they offered it before saying “what have we done?”)
And, do I really want to escalate the tech war with the head of
the division?
I know some of the folks out there have them on one of the other networks.
So, what do you think?
