Game night and cameras
Sep. 10th, 2011 08:45 amStill sad that my camera had gone pavement surfing last week, I traded in a bunch of my AMEX points to get the current equivalent of that model.
Other than the “non-slip surface” feeling weird to my fingers, it seems to work quite well. (It feels like the non-skid tape they put on cement stairs.)
It does well taking close up pictures.

It does well at taking long distance photos.

It seems to have a pretty good depth of focus.

It didn’t do quite as well capturing the refraction rainbow on the way to work yesterday. But, I did take the photo one handed while getting on a highway in bright sun.

Also not good with the moon.

But, I’ve never seen a pocket camera that was, so this isn’t a surprise.
It does seem to do OK with clouds. And, I take a lot of photos of clouds.

Then, after a LONG day at work, we went to game night.

Sadly my pushing the seat back in the car started a fuel leak for the stuff for the fire show. But,
I did notice that in his garage he had those type of loading ramps my wife hit her head on almost exactly 3 years ago.

I’m glad she and they stayed apart.

It was a grilling month and my sausages caught fire.

But, they were OK and there was plenty of other good food.

And, there was lots of very good corn too.
Tim brought his dice game.

So, I tried that.

But, I was pretty tired from the week I’d had so spent more time talking than playing games.
Still, it was very nice to have game night to cap off this week.
And, I'm happy to have a new camera.

Sorry.
