I hate it when I’m stupid

There are extenuating circumstances.
I was told they had a years worth of parts, so I could take my time to
update the drawing.
For a month I had mentioned at the weekly product development meeting that
I was going to update the part.
I was on vacation when they decided to order more.
When I updated the drawing the week after I got back, no one said “hey, we
just ordered more of those.”
But, the fact remains that we got another shipment of parts with the holes
in the wrong location. And, I didn’t check that they were on order when I
updated the print, and I should have.
So, now the factory is mad at me because they need to drill the holes out
in another shipment.
Ah well, nothing I can do about it now.
