Off to the coast

It was a nice spring day.
In other words plant sex is going on all over.

The pollen level has been between 10 and 11 out of 12 all week so I’ve been coughing a whole lot.
But you can’t let that keep you down, so we drove off to Newbury port on the coast to meet Tom and Brett.

We drive through Newbury port a few times a year, but don’t stop very often. Too bad as it is a very nice place.

They are good at putting up plaques and signs for historic things.

But, there is nothing wrong with being proud of the spot where the US Coast Guard started.

My wife found this shop, which looked interesting to her.

I suspect they will be a regular stop for us if we’re in the area.
Tom and Brett got there soon after us and we had a nice lunch for Brett’s birthday.

Afterwards we went across the street to the hand made gelato place.

I was very happy as they had several sorbets as well so I could join in.

But soon it was time to say goodbye to the metal elk and head off again.

It is a nice town. But, they seem to have an unusual attraction to giant plastic sharks.

Date: 2011-05-01 10:34 pm (UTC)To the point where I had my laptop with me all weekend and had to field several questions about our design both yesterday and today.
We're making a big bid on a project this month. So, it's going to be a crazy May for me.
