I went to the doctor today for my 6 month blood pressure check.
“It’s too high!” she said. “I think it is because you put on weight over
the winter!”
“Your assistant told me I had lost 3 pounds since my last visit,” I said.
“You’re still too heavy,” she said. “And, that is raising your blood
pressure!”
“You know, the last 6 weeks have been very hard on me,” I told her. “I
suspect this might be more stress then weight.”
“I don’t care what caused it,” she said. “If we don’t stop it, it is going
to kill you. Soon!”
So, I get to take a second blood pressure pill as I’m already at the
maximum for the one I have been taking.
One in the morning, one at night.
It isn’t a whole lot of consolation to know that when I said “this stuff is
ripping my heart out” I wasn’t really exaggerating that much.
Sad.

Date: 2011-03-31 03:26 pm (UTC)At least (Except for tomorrow) the weather should be improving so it will be easier to get out and take a walk to "de-pressurize" from time to time. Maybe get in an extra trip or two around the office complex in mid-afternoon..
