Fall color
Oct. 7th, 2010 08:00 amThis morning on my way in to work, the sunrise seemed very nice.
There were two different levels of clouds, the low one moving fast and
catching the light.
All of the colors seemed very sharp.
I tried to take a picture of it, but it doesn’t really capture it:

(The traffic light where I could afford to take the picture and the car
dealership next to it do not help.)
One of the things I really like about the fall is the colors. To me, each
season has its own set of colors that are very distinct. And, of them I
like the fall the best.
It’s not a question of the color of the leafs on the trees turning. That’s
not the sort of color I’m talking about.
It’s the color of the air. The color of the water.
The sky this morning was a color that if it was used in a movie backdrop
would be considered fake looking.
The color of Boston harbor last weekend was a blue you don’t often see in
the north Atlantic.
There is a way the air this time of year seems to hold light that only
happens for a short time each year that I really like.
The colors of the world this time of year are fantastic.

Now, I know that shortly afterward the air is filled with pollen and I want to pull my sinus tissues out of my head, but in the spring when the first leaves start coming out, you'd never believe that there could be so many different shades of green!
