Fungus among us

This summer is much dryer then last summer. So, a lot of lawns are brown instead of green.
But, that doesn’t stop a lot of fungus from growing on the lawn where I work.
I thought they had removed a stump by the path, but the fungus seems to say “we just covered it with wood chips”.

There are still a lot of mushrooms out on the lawn. I think that is just a sign of how often they water it.


Walking around we saw what is the biggest caterpillar I’ve ever seen crossing the road.

No one was really sure why it would want to cross the road, but I suspect it had to do with what was sitting in the storm drain on the other side.

Yes, you and I may say “Its the remains of a cucumber that was probably thrown out of a car. But, I’m sure the caterpillar said “wow! She’s for me!”
(I actually thought it looked like a horn ripped off a green demon myself. But, that just shows I think differently from caterpillars...
