Other than the ren faire...

My wife and I are going to be in KY soon.
I here there is a ren faire there we should stop in and see.
And, there is a museum there we want to see. (The Frazier)
That would probably still leave a day or so in the area.
Any suggestions?

I'll be another vote for the Mammoth Caves. There's actually a *bunch* of them, so many that you choose which tour to take and you might have to ride the little park shuttle to get to one of the farther-out places.

If you're lucky you'll get the tour guide whose family owned the place for generations--well, worked it as slaves and later on owned it--before the feds up and Eminent Domained the site from them. He tells the story like I'd tell you about losing a dime, which might be the most remarkable thing of all.
