The price for religious tolerance

At the store where I shop is a cashier I think is Muslim based on the head covering she wears.
She is one of their better workers and often comes and bags other people’s groceries when other workers just stand around looking bored.
When I’m buying bacon, I avoid the station she is working. Last night when I was buying bacon for breakfast today, I went to the self serve station. The bacon was not the usual kind I buy as they were out of that. But, it did have a $2 off coupon to be used at the register.
I guess they don’t trust people with instant coupons at the self serve and need an actual casher to come and make sure you’re really buying the item.
It was, of course, their hard worker who came over to confirm the item.
I felt bad making her handle the bacon, but, it was $2.

I think it's nice that you try to respect her religion. Then again, I don't drink and I don't have any issue selling alcohol. I also don't eat pork but I will serve it to people. My point is, good on you for thinking of her, although she's probably OK with the aspects of her job that aren't part and parcel with her own daily beliefs and practices.
