The trouble with Art
Apr. 28th, 2010 07:08 pmAfter the symposium Saturday we did have our normal sword practice Sunday. But, it was another wet day, so the car was under wraps again.

We have another month until the New Jersey shows and are getting ready for them.
There is a lot of cleaning rust off of equipment.

We’re also going through more of the Vadi manual from 1485. It has some nice techniques there, but only gives 1 sentence per move, so it not a good one for beginners.

During the week, I continue to walk around the industrial park where I work at lunch watching the fairly quick change from bare trees to full leafs. Many of them have passed through the flower stage, but the ones that haven’t seem to be making up for the others in the amount of pollen they put out.
There are still some that are upright sticks and some that are in full leaf bloom. I can’t find any pattern for why some are one way and some the other.

One strange thing about the road across the street from where I work. They let you know who tows your car if you park where you shouldn’t.

At least for me, this is unusual. I often see signs saying no parking, but rarely ones that tell you who took it.
So, I wonder if it is Art doing some marketing.
“See how well that car was towed? Call Art next time too!”
It does seem like the parking ban is unpopular. Most of the signs have been damaged.
I guess folks are OK with Art himself as his part is usually there.

That also makes me think the signs are not being damaged by the elements, or both parts would be down.
I didn’t spend long pondering it today. It was windy and damp. That made it seem far colder then it was. I walked around with my umbrella, but the wind was so gusty that it blew the umbrella back into my hand hard enough to split the end of my thumb.

I decided I had walked far enough today.
I've got to say, I've felt down all week. A big part of it is the small part stolen last week. Knowing I live somewhere that folks will just come by and walk off with your stuff really makes me sad.

Date: 2010-04-29 03:30 am (UTC)Art's Towing is one of the bigger companies in MA. They have stations/services nearly everywhere, especially the central MA corridor. So I don't think they lack in the Advertising department.
sorry about your thumb. That must be very annoying.
