“Average” job

As part of the records I keep for Phoenix Swords I track the locations of our performances. I can, and do, find the average latitude and longitude of those shows.
For several years it was in western New Jersey. Last year with the shows in Mobile, it shifted west into Pennsylvania. Now, after the Pensacola show, it is right in the living room of a place just north of Philadelphia.

I’m very tempted to show up there and perform at our average spot just to say we’ve done that.
We have, actually, performed on our average spot before.
Our second show ever was on the same spot as our first. So, technically, it was on our average spot.
But, that doesn’t really count.
When we did the show at Ryder College we were only .154 degrees off north and .188 off west. That works out to .38%/.25% which is pretty close given the coordinates cover a half hemisphere at a time. (The average swept right through our performance area at Ryder hitting within .001%, but not for the show where we were actually there.)
But, the odds of us hitting it by chance are pretty small. If I want to perform on our average spot, I’m going to have to track it down.
The good news, as such, is that we are now 1/3 of the way to the moon in distance we've traveled.

It has taken 8 1/2 years of shows, but we're getting there.
