That will teach me
Dec. 13th, 2007 05:15 pmSo, I made fun of someone stuck on the ice the other day.
So, I got stuck behind one today trying to get home.
I called Holly for help as I didn't want to get out of my car on route 9. (The insurance company had once blamed her for doing so in a similar case.)
But, even as she walked through the snow to come help me, I did and pushed that BMW up the hill on route 9 to the traffic light, then went back and got my car. I drove mine up the hill.
When I was taught to drive, my father waited until winter to teach me.
"IF you can drive in this, you won't have a problem with the rest," he told me.
I wish other people had the same instruction.

Date: 2007-12-14 02:03 am (UTC)Me too. I'd have liked taking a bad-weather driving course. Maybe one of these days I'll do it. Although I've never really had big problems driving in the snow...But I do try to be careful.
Madatory winter-weather driving for all driving students would be so much better than 10 hours of required classroom where you get to watch useless movies from the '50s and '80s about why it's not cool to drink and drive.
