The fact that they are willing to pull that beautiful convertible Ford Thunderbird (looks like a 1957 to me) out into the snow says alot about the owner's willingness to help you guys out! I've seen several of those very models in great condition sell for well over $30K. For gods' sakes don't ding it with a sword !! ;-)
It is a very nice car. The owner is very nice to move it just to let us practice. Especially as the garage was built just for that T-Bird. And, I promise you, we will do out best not to ding it!
It's a 56. And it's not in "awexom" condition but my dad built it from pretty much scratch. It was bought for $500 and was a frame, and boxes of everything else. Took him 7 years of weekends to make it in "servicable" condition. he wanted the garage to be able to take it apart again and tinker some more with it.
OMG - what a beautiful T-Bird !

That's pretty good. i'm not sure I could make a car run if I was given a frame and a box of parts.
