So, my budget ran out at 2 today.
It's not bad getting an afternoon off.
And, I've got a project for tomorrow. So, I'm back in the office then.
But, it is weird working day to day. Not what I'm used to.

Dang !

They really budget very small amounts! Usually the smaller projects I end up working on are around $10K. At least you've got another one in the pipeline - hopefully more to come, or a permanent position in the weeks ahead!

Still, it must be a good feeling to be back out of the house and designing parts again.

The main project I'm on has a very large budget. But, sadly, in 5 days I went through all the work they planned for me for 7 days.
So, budget is there, but no work.
The one with work, very little budget.
I'm still getting some for tomorrow. Don't know if it will be a full day or not.

It is quite revealing to experience first hand, that without having to deal with the usual 'office politics', extraneous meetings, etc. that one can get an awful lot of work done in 8 hours. I typically find that I can get more work done in 28-32 concentrated hours, which I bill for, than what the typical full time engineer can accomplish in 40+ hours per week.
