Nuts!

We are now in full nuts from the sky season.



There are always a lot of nuts that come down in the fall, but this year seems more than normal. I guess it’s from the weather this year. It must be good for nuts.

Yesterday we had out fight review for the Mobile show in November.
I’m happy to say the new folks did very well.


OK, BMW there isn’t a member and won’t be for another 16 years at least. But, the folks who are new members still did quite well.

I don't know about other types of trees, but I have learned that apples trees and oaks seem to go in ~ 5 year cycles of production. Of course, severe weather conditions can also disrupt this pattern.

Did some research, their either Shagbark Hickory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shagbark_hickory

or Mockernut Hickory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mockernut_Hickory

Either way, big nuts, good eating for squirrels
