I’ve tried to make it a point to walk or ride my bike every day. I don’t always manage it. Some days I’m very busy. Some days the weather is awful. Some days I’m off doing something else.
Today I spent a couple of hours mailing resumes off to random companies, but had mailed out today’s 8 candidates by 11.
I knew I should have walked them up to the post office or taken the bike out. But, I didn’t. Just lazy.
I walked to the store and back, but that’s only about 1/2 mile round trip.
Then, my wife and I started a Capoeira class tonight.
I no longer feel I was being lazy. I now feel I was saving up my energy.
I guess I should feel somewhat good. The 4 college students in the class with us said they thought it was pretty hard too, and they’re 25 years younger than us.
I did OK on the stances. A lot of them are pretty close to sword stances we use or stretches we use to get ready.
But, handstands?
Not unless I’m in 3 feet of water or more.
Cartwheels? I couldn’t do them when I was 20.
The teachers were good about it and just had us try our best. And, they weren’t expecting any of the students to do the flips and spins the teacher did.
It will be good exercise. Not doubt about that.
There are still 6 weeks left. They said they’d take more students. Anyone else?

Wow, what were you guys thinkin' ?!?!

More power to ya, I guess!

But, I don't think that I'd want to take that class, and I'll still go out for 12 mile hikes with 25 pound backpack or a 20-mile bike ride any day !

It's only a 7 week class.
It's something we can do together.
It's good exercise.
That's all I can think of right now. I'm going to bed.
