Phoenix Christmas
Dec. 1st, 2007 08:19 pmWe had the Phoenix Christmas party today at O’Connor’s.
It went pretty well. I do miss the slide show and movies we’ve done when we had a private hall. But, the food was better here, and it is still a good bunch of people.
And, surprisingly when feeding a dozen people there, it actually cost us more than $100 less than planned.
I do very much appreciate the Phoenix folks. It certainly hasn’t been my best year, and we’ve gotten through because of the very good people we have who picked up the slack I dropped.
I’m sorry all I have to give them is a meal. But, at least it is a meal at a really good place.

it cost you less than planned, yes? That's good! Glad you had a good time.

Date: 2007-12-03 06:35 pm (UTC)Other places, we pay for the amount we guess. If more show up we pay more. If less show up, we pay the same.
So, while it's too bad you couldn't make it, it didn't cost us any money. Other places, it would have.
So, it worked out well.
Honestly, if people did miss the movies or slide shows, they can come visit and we can do it at our place. (Or, maybe someone with a big TV might offer....)
