I’ve been reading a history on the Salem witch trials, so my mind is in that frame of mind, but this was just spooky.

After paying off all of our debt a couple of months ago, I agreed to finance my car repairs yesterday.
Today I got a set of new credit cards from one of the accounts I had shut off saying “we thought you might want to turn the account back on and have some money”.

Now, this company has been sending me blank checks to try and get me to turn the account back on, so it isn’t a total surprise. But, this is the first time they’ve ever taken the step of sending new cards that just required a phone call to turn on.

And, to me anyhow, it’s weird it was the day after I activated a line of credit.
They were mailed from out west. They couldn’t have been put in the mail yesterday to get here today. They must have been mailed before that.
Sharks smelling blood in the water have nothing on these people.

I chopped up the cards and spread them across several different dumpsters...

No, that would be stupid.
I've got a bunch of harmless cards to give you for your project. But, a card that with one call gets someone $8000 that I have pay for?
No.
Stupid.

That's why I chopped them up.
That's just too much to leave lying around, even in my living room.
They had to go.
