Bugs, buildings, inventions & concerts
Aug. 26th, 2009 08:33 pmYesterday when we set of for Lowell there was a bug on my wife’s car antenna.

It was very persistent and remained on the antenna along 495 while we were doing 75mph. But, when we stopped at Wendy’s it got off.
So, it didn’t get a burger.

I think it probably got off at this building. I know it is my wife’s favorite, so bugs on her car probably like it too.

The other day when I was sad about not being employed, I decided to invent something. The thing I came up with was a replacement for the shopping cart I wheel over to the local market and back. It is a wire mesh cube with wheels on the bottom. I have problems because things tend to droop through the wire mesh, hit the bottom and drag along.
It occurred to me that the things are in bags with handles. They don’t need a cube around them. They just need a hook to lift them up off of the ground.
So, I came up with this.

I’ll see if it actually works tomorrow.
Today we decided to go to a concert on the common of a town on the other side of Worcester. In addition to gas, the car needed oil, but off we went.

We found a nice spot on the common and set up.

It was a jazz band playing.

Jazz is not the favorite of my wife or me. But, the guy playing the wind instruments in a professor where she works.

It was a nice enough time. We both had fun.

My favorite part was when the dog of some folks near us came over to visit.

But, the clouds really started rolling in. So, after a bit more than an hour we packed up and took off.

It was still a nice time and I’m glad we went.
