fbhjr: (muffin nazi)

We saw an ad for a product that is supposed to keep your toilet clean and decided to try it.
When my wife assembled it, “lightsaber” is what came to mind for me.

I guess you do use it to combat scum and villainy.

Well, scum anyhow.
It leaves a little gel glob behind that is supposed to clean and freshen, etc.

I’m generally not big on these things as I’m allergic to most things with smells in them. But, at least this one doesn’t have the plastic housing that has to be thrown out when done.

In good news, I got the muffins to march around to my command this morning.

After the pie and one more batch tomorrow, I think that will be the end of the berries we got from [livejournal.com profile] evrgreen and his wife. But, they’ve been VERY nice while we’ve had them.

It took some work, but I’ve got the new CAD system up and running
[livejournal.com profile] perrin_o_ravnos very kindly loaned me a computer to run it on. But, I had some trouble getting it up and running. When I finally opened the case I found the dust had jammed the fan for the processor. I cleaned that out while my wife reseated all the components. Once done, it ran. No sign the fan problems caused harm. Hopefully not.

Good news, I heard from two more companies. Both were requesting “more information” about me, but it is still something. One of them required a several page questionnaire be filled out. Hopefully it will turn into something.

I was really worried when I saw the little fan on the processor was not turning.
But, once cleaned up, it started up again. So, hopefully it will keep going.

Too bad that you had to buy some software to get the universe to wake up and realize that you still wanted to be an engineer, but sometimes, it needs "prodding". Hopefully you'll be able to get some good use out of the software, and will have yet another software tool on your professional belt to add to the resume, too!

Fingers crossed for you that you get more good news soon!
