When I set out for game night, it was 75 at my apartment. My wife was going to pick up

julytooth and I said “I’ll just walk the 2 1/2 miles”.

I had not realized it was 89 down in the Shrewsbury flats where there is little breaze and many parking lots to pick up the sun that was just beating down.
But, the swamps still looked purple, so it wasn’t all bad.

As I said, the sun just beat down on the road and it was very, very hot. But, just as I was thinking it might have been too hot to do this, a nice cloud came and blocked the sun for me.

The nice part was, it only blocked the sun for the road. The lake to either side still got a good amount of sun. So, it was helping me and not ruining anyone’s fun.

When I got to

yebo and

zosh’s house I could see it was changing color.

We played lots of games.

It looked like lots of visiting went on too.

I did get to have a nice visit with Jeff.

I hadn’t seen him in a while and it’s been even long since we had a chance to talk about things. We tried to arrange for him to come to a Phoenix practice sometime soon for some instruction. That would be cool.
