My annual physical went well enough today. I gained a bit of weight, but not as much as my doctor thought. (When she checked her notes she found I did remember what I got last year. She’s used to folks from the nursing home next to her office who don’t remember.)
The first measurement of my blood pressure was pretty high. I showed the doctor my charts and graphs from measuring it at home and she gave me another shot. That time it was right where it should be.
The EKG was good and they had a very nice new machine for it. I still get the chest pains, so it’s nice to make sure the heart is OK.
I gave all sorts of fluids for testing. Hopefully they’ll come back OK.

I did ask her for the name of the medicine that caused me problems last year. She wrote it down and I tried to puzzle it out as I waited for the lab tech. I couldn’t figure it out and the lab tech couldn’t. So I went back and asked my doctor’s assistant who told me it was Atenolol.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised I appear to be allergic to a drug that ends in lol...
