Overkill

I had a job interview today. That’s a good thing. It was the first full interview I’ve had in almost 3 months.

The problem is it was for an entry level position.

So there was a lot of thing like:
“Wow, you’ve worked a lot of places.”
“You made how much? That’s twice what we were hoping for in the budget.”
“You’re way over qualified for this.”
“Why would you stay at a job like this?”

I did point out there there was more to life then money. That if they could give me more vacation time or something like that it could make up for a bunch of money.
The job, being only 12 miles away, is a big advantage over higher paying things that make me sit in a lot of traffic.
But, I don’t think he was convinced.

He was very honest that he has a lot of people to interview and I was just the first of many.
We’ll see what happens.
